Key Information

It is the expectation that the children in Year 2 will read 5 times a week at home. Children will have two books sent home from school, a fiction and non-fiction or poetry. This will give children an opportunity to read a breadth of different styles of writing. They can also read anything at home to support alongside their school book band book. Reads will be counted each week where children will then get the opportunity to move up our ‘Reading Planets’ and earn rewards for reading too.

Homework is times tables and spellings. These will be sent out on a Monday to be completed by the following Monday.

PE days are Tuesday and Friday.  Please ensure the children bring the correct PE uniform and remove or cover earrings prior to the lesson. Please ensure the children have outdoor kit (jacket, joggers) for the colder weathers.

Please ensure all uniform is clearly labelled with the children’s names.
