What is the role of the pastoral team?

Sometimes individuals and families can be faced with difficulties which require additional support. This can be an emotional, financial or physical difficulty and it could require short or long term support. Our pastoral team help support children in school and their families to overcome any issues that might be a barrier to their learning and development. They can also support children’s parents and carers with any issues that are affecting the family’s home life. Our pastoral team includes a full time learning mentor, two pastoral support staff, the school SENCo, pupil premium manager, mental health champions and mental health first aiders. The team can be contacted via phoning the school office or in person. Please see the parents guide below for some of the support we are able to provide.

'Get Going' Healthy Lifestyle Programme

Get Going is a free programme in North Lincolnshire for young people above a healthy weight aged from 4-16 years old. It aims to motivate young people and their families to lead a healthier lifestyle through individual appointments and weekly group activity sessions, and so reduce the risks of adult obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes as the young people get older.
