Pupil Voice – Out of school clubs- Spring Term

School Council devised a set of questions to ask children who attend out of school clubs.

  • Question 1: Do you enjoy the club and why?

    Musical Theatre: Yes, because you get to act and perform.

    Street Dance: Yes, because we get to dance and it's fun.

    French: Yes, because you learn a new language in a fun way.

    Young Voices: Yes, because I like to sing and make friends.

    Gymnastics: Yes, because you get to learn new stuff and it's fun.

    School Council: Yes, everyone appreciates your ideas and we get to fundraise for the school.

  • Question 2: What inspired you to join the club?

    Musical Theatre: I like performing and making people happy when I sing.

    Street Dance: It’s a good form of exercise.

    French: Madame Delcourt and my friends.

    Young Voices: I’ve always loved singing and it’s something new in school.

    Gymnastics: Friends and watching gymnastics on the television.

    School Council: Having the opportunity to help the school. Talking to other children who have been previous school council members.

  • Question 3: What would you change about the club?

    Musical Theatre: I would like it to be on more days.

    Street Dance: Nothing.

    French: Nothing.

    Young Voices: I would like it to be on more days and in the hall.

    Gymnastics: Work on more pieces of equipment.

    School Council: More team games at the start of the meeting.

  • Question 4: How long have you been doing this club?

    Musical Theatre: Some children have been attending the club since it started and for some children it’s their first time.

    Street Dance: 2 weeks – new club just started.

    French: Some children have been attending French club for 3-4 years and for some children it’s their first time.

    Young Voices: Since September – first time for all children.

    Gymnastics: Since September - first time for all children.

    School Council: For some children it is their first time and for others their second time.

  • Question 5: What is your favourite thing about the club?

    Musical Theatre: Singing lots of songs from different musicals, dressing up, putting on a performance for parents.

    Street Dance: The dance teacher.

    French: Learning how to speak French and meeting new people.

    Young Voices: Singing for fun and adding actions.

    Gymnastics: The warm up and developing new skills.

    School Council: Running stalls at fundraising events and thinking of ways to improve our school.

  • Question 6: Are you putting on a show or performance?

    Musical Theatre: Yes, for parents and the school.

    Street Dance: Maybe for parents at the end of half-term.

    French: No

    Young Voices: Yes, at Sheffield Arena in January.

    Gymnastics: No

    School Council: We will do an assembly later in the term.

  • Question 7: Are you putting on a show or performance?

    Musical Theatre: Yes, for parents and the school.

    Street Dance: Maybe for parents at the end of half-term.

    French: No

    Young Voices: Yes, at Sheffield Arena in January.

    Gymnastics: No

    School Council: We will do an assembly later in the term.

  • Question 8: Would you recommend this club to your friends?

    Musical Theatre: Yes, most definitely!

    Street Dance: Yes

    French: Yes

    Young Voices: Yes, it’s a great experience!

    Gymnastics: Yes

    School Council: Yes, it’s a great opportunity to represent the pupils of our school.
